Sometimes an old familiar spot is just what you want and Fork and Fingers is that old familiar spot. Fork and fingers jumped on the Mexican food scene over 25 years ago. bringing what at the time was a limited assortment of international flavors to Mansfield. So Let me begin with but I love best about fork and fingers. Their unique sweet salsa(you may have to ask for it) and paprika dusted chips are yummy. I like mixing the sweet with the regular for my own special blend. The frozen strawberry margarita was good, but exceptionally sweet, ask for a lime wedge and squeeze it in to give it a little zing. As for the food this is where I take off marks. It's just average. In fact many out of towners used to a little more spice in their Tex Mex might find it downright bland. The rice is on the runnier side and is flavorless. Retried beans are average. My beef tacos were average but without salsa would have been disappointing. My husbands Chile relenno was unusual. We eat Mexican all the time everywhere we go and never have we seen it served plain( no batter) with a large scrambled egg... yes you heard right a scrambled egg served on top. My friend enjoyed her chicken fajitas. Another friend ordered the super burrito and when delivered it came out flat.. yes flat. 2 or 3 layers but Never had any of us heard or seen a "flat" burrito. Oh well go have chips and salsa at the least and enjoy.
Great chips and salsa, the best I have ever had. The service is good, not great, but the food is wonderful. More Tex-Mex than traditional Mexican, but still a fantastic treat. Don't be turned off by the location or interior. You will enjoy the food and experience. If you are from Mansfield, you will see someone you know. Highly recommended!
Family restaurant, good food, inexpensive menu. Happy hour runs until 7pm everyday and the margaritas are some of the best around.
